Night Court is Houston’s all lawyer theatre company that has raised well over $1,000,000 for local legal charities during its annual musicals over the past 25 years at the Hobby Center. Betty Marie directed Urinetown and 9 to 5 at Stageworks Theatre and Pippin and SpongeBob with TUTS Education.
Betty Marie was the assistant director to Tony Nominated Director and Artistic Director of TUTS, Dan Knechtges, in Theatre Under the Stars’ latest production of The Little Mermaid and then assistant directed on Into the Woods, under the direction of Laura Peete. She made her directing debut with Bring It On at TUTS. Betty Marie led a 90-person company and created a full-blown production in two weeks, alongside a killer creative team, and well over 100 people working on the production.
